New Hampshire born and currently living, Lissa has been deeply influenced by the White Mountains and Maine coast. She graduated Plymouth State University with BA's in Graphic Design and Drawing, and a minor in Art History.
Her love of the mountains, rocky Maine coast, and folklore is often blended into a unique world where allegory is made visual. The theme of her work is often exploration of the natural environment or human character. Her work reveals a reverence for the rugged White Mountains, as well as their fragility to the changes of climate. Her figurative work often reveals pithy characters from lore.
While she works in a wide variety of media, the mediums Lissa prefers are oils, graphite, colored pencil, and acrylic.
